Success Story:
Southwire Company is America’s largest manufacturer of wire and cable and is a world leader in the wire and cable industry. More than 50 years ago, Southwire was founded to help bring electricity to rural Georgia. Today, it supplies 135 of the nation’s top power companies, plus dozens of utility companies abroad and is pioneering new technology to better serve all of its wire and cable customers. Nearly a fifth of all homes in the United States contain Southwire’s building wire products.
Southwire contracted nVision in 2003 to process their loss and damage cargo claims. They wanted a system in place that would allow their company to maximize their recoveries and at the same time provide their corporate office an overview of the entire process.
Currently Southwire benefits from a 91% recovery ratio on their loss and damage cargo claims and the process is accomplished in approximately 78 days. Monthly reports are provided to identify problem carriers and lanes. Southwire has the ability to retrieve reports from our FTP site and online.
In 2004 Southwire contracted nVision to perform a post audit on their less than trailer load freight invoices and small package invoices. Each invoice is reviewed against carriers negotiated pricing, tariffs, contracts and other related issues. If a discrepancy is found an overcharge claim is filed nVision manages the process through to collection.
Our obligation to our customer is to maximize their claim recoveries as expeditiously as possible and provide them with an overview of the entire process.
